This article refers to the Currency Switcher for Easy Digital Downloads. That plugin was retired in 2021 and it's no longer available for purchase.
The emails sent by Easy Digital Downloads can be configured in the backend. By default, such emails show the order total in shop's base currency, rather than order currency. To correct this, it's sufficient to the email layout, replacing the {price} tag with {price_order_currency}).
Instructions
1. Go to WordPress Administration > EDD > Settings > Email.
2. Go to the Purchase Receipt section. In the email template, replace the {price} tag with {price_in_order_currency}
3. Go to the Sale Notification section. In the email template, replace the {price} tag with {price_in_order_currency}
4. Save the settings. The emails will now display the totals in the correct currency to both customers and shop owner.
